Permaculture Week in the Yarra Valley 2024 commenced on Friday 15th March with the Ecotopia Festival at Ecoss Yarra Valley and concluded on Sunday 24th March with a property tour of a recently established permaculture property just outside Healesville.

In total we had 17 events during the week:

• Ecotopia Festival at Ecoss – Wesburn.

• Healesville Organic Market – 20th Birthday Celebration (we will claim it as a PYV event as the Market was started by Graeme and PYV).

• Bushcraft Workshop run by Leafy Adventures.

• Edible Forest Tour hosted by our friends at Edible Forest Yarra Valley.

• Small Suburban Permaculture Property Tour – Hosted by Agi in Millgrove.

• Large Rural Permaculture Property Tour ‘Tenderbreak’ – Hosted by Andrew & Heather in Dixons Creek.

• Biochar Facility Tour – Yarra Ranges Council Lysterfield hosted by Earth Systems Pty Ltd.

• Large Suburban Permaculture Property Tour – Hosted by Leanne & Trevor in Lilydale.

• ‘Ecosophia’ Film screening – hosted in conjunction with Peter Downey in Warburton.

• Gardens for Harvest Permaculture Talk – by Matt Danielle at Eastern Regional Libraries.

• Visit to Edible Warburton Community Garden – Hosted by Jennie and Tarnya.

• ‘Growing our Community: One backyard at a time’ Seminar with Nick Rose and Kat Lavers – sponsored by Yarra Ranges Council and VicHealth.

• Large Suburban Permaculture Property Tour – Hosted by Vicki and Wayne in Healesville.

• PEACE Farm Tour – Hosted by Matt and Cat in Yarra Junction.

• Harvest Festival/Soul Dance – Permaculture Finale – PEACE Farm - Hosted by Matt and Cat.

• Suburban Permaculture Property Tour – Hosted by Linda in Kilsyth.

• ‘Wild Ridge Farm’ Property Tour – Hosted by Kirsten and run by Stu in Healesville.

  We had over 400 people attend events (not counting Ecotopia, the Market, or Bushcraft Workshop) which is fantastic.
